FaceTime: My Makeup Lineup

Let's face it-I love makeup and can appreciate a good pallet or mascara. It's not really my thing to go out and buy the fancy makeup, though. I like the line up of products I use a lot, and they're super budget friendly. My collection usually includes one high-end product and then the rest are typically from drug stores.

makeup

Face/foundation
Eyes
  • e.l.f. Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer. I just started using this and I can definitely see the difference when I use it. It keeps my eyeshadow looking fresh all day. Spend the $2 on this.
  • Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. *heart eyed emoji x3* This is my high-end product. I got it for Christmas and used it on my wedding day. 10/10, highly recommend. It'll cost you about $54. Favorite shades for every day: crease-nooner, lid-limit, brow bone/highlight-strange. Favorite combo for going out: crease-liar, lid-burnout, highlight-strange.
  • Maybelline Volum' Express Pumped Up! Colossal Waterproof Mascara. I change up my mascara a lot, but I've been using this one probably the last year or so.  Mascara is my other essential. I like it for the about $7 I spend.
Lips
For everyday wear, I just use Cherry Chapstick. If I'm spicing things up...
  • Maybelline Baby Lips in Strike a Rose. It's getting harder to find, but it's a nice casual color. I will search for this $5 staple any day.
  • Covergirl Katy Kat Matte in Magenta Minx. I love Katy Perry and I love this lipstick! There are some other shades I'm dying to try too. I love this for going out or dressing up. This isn't the longest lasting lipstick. The colors are so fun, though! I found it cheapest at Walmart, but it'll cost you anywhere from $5-7.

So, there it is. This is my everyday makeup lineup. I switch up my makeup a lot, but these are the products I'm loving lately. Any suggestions? What products do you love? Tell me all about them!

Until next time,

Reliving My Wedding

HAPPY SIX MONTH ANNIVERSARY TO ME AND CONNOR!!!

On this special day, I thought I'd revisit my gorgeous wedding pictures! I'm truly obsessed with them. All of them are on my personal Facebook page, but I've decided to post some of my favorites here! Picking only a few to highlight wasn't easy, but here are ones I'll cherish forever.

All of the credit for these photos goes out to LissaSelena Photography. She captured all of the best moments from our big day! I seriously cannot get enough of these pictures, but I'll leave it at these.

Until next time,

Registry Gifts I Couldn't Live Without

Connor and I are coming in hot on six months of marriage!!! I've been thinking a lot about what the last six months have been like since we got married and moved. Every time I do, I'm reminded of how lucky we are to have the friends and family we do. Especially with all the gifts they showered us with to celebrate our marriage. Our wedding gifts are things we use pretty regularly. So, I decided to share with everyone some of my favorite things we received from our registry.

KITCHEN:
1. Threshold Stainless Steel Non-Skid Mixing Bowls
2. Pyrex 19 Piece Bake and Store Set (definitely could not live without this)
3. Kitchenaid Stand Mixer (the most #basic thing on a registry)
Kitchenaid 6 Speed Hand Mixer
Black and Decker Blender
Keurig (#blessed!!!)
Anchor Hocking Nested Mixing Bowls
Corningware Bakeware Set
Anchor 3 Piece Baking Set
Chicago Metallic 7 Piece Nonstick Bakeware Set
Farberware 20 Piece Cookset
Emerilware 12 Piece Cookware

BEDROOM:
4. The Big One Super Soft Plush Throw
5. Damask 500 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton Sheet Set & Damask 500 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton Pillowcase (also in Blue Jean)

BATHROOM;
6.Threshold Bath Towels
7. Threshold Botanic Bath Rug

MISCELLANEOUS:
8. 6 in 1 Footed Cake Dome (this is seriously great)
9. Crystal Decanter

Of course, this is not everything we received. Nor is it a list of the only things we use. We were also registered at Kohls, and I didn't pull much from that registry to here. Even though all of our really pretty Fiesta dishes came from there. So did our great pillows, comforter, and bathroom decor. If you're interested in browsing them, I'm pretty sure all three of my registries are still open at Target, Kohls, and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
Making most of the registries without Connor was pretty hard, but making registries honestly can be really fun. They take awhile, but it's like going shopping and then getting the stuff as gifts later. Pretty sweet if you ask me. Anything from your wedding registry you couldn't live without?

Until next time,

Put Me in Coach!

These past few days, I basically got "called up" at work to help out while a full-timer was away. Here's basically what I mean...

I currently work part-time on a promotions team for a minor league baseball team. It's quite the shift from being a full-time intern, but I like what I do. It boils down to that I'm a part-time game day employee. The end of last week, I was asked to step in as the receptionist while their actual receptionist is out of town. This may sound weird, but I was really excited to do it! It was basically like being called up. For those who don't watch a ton of baseball, minor league players can be called up to the next level or even to the majors. So the comparison seemed appropriate.

Anyway, this meant I got to dust off my business attire and dress up again! Here's what I wore during my temporary career as a full-time receptionist.

Kept it pretty business casual day 1.
Shirt: Ann Taylor Loft
Pants: Banana Republic
Shoes: Charlotte Russe

Dressed it up a little more on day 2.
Top: Dillard's
Pants Ann Taylor Loft
Shoes: Rack Room Shoes

Day 3 was a 12 hour day full of receptionist work and a game, so I forgot to take a picture.

Thought I'd give you a sneak peak into what I like to wear when I dress professionally! Since I'm pretty tall I usually stay away from full length pants, and stick to dresses and ankle length pants. Where do you buy your professional wear? What are some classic pieces?

Until next time,

August Bucket List

How is it already August??? I really can't believe it's August. As I was reflecting on my July bucket list, I realized how this month had different plans for me. I did accomplish a few of the things, though. We did buy a new vacuum cleaner and it is a true blessing. I have been drinking more water and making more of an effort to blog more. We definitely didn't get the time (or money) for a weekend getaway or staycation. No big deal. My turn signal still isn't fixed, but I'm really serious about that this month. I'm still trying to get through the book I was reading at the beginning of the month but at least I'm still reading! I got to eat some BBQ even though I'm still on the hunt for great BBQ out here. Last, but not least, working out three times a week is still something I'm working on but definitely more intentional about.

This month is going to be SO busy. Seriously, my calendar is ridiculous. It's the last full month of baseball. We're moving onto post next month. With the move, we're trying very hard to save some moolah. So we might not be too exciting these next few weeks. It's time to transition out of summer and more into fall...sort of. I'll definitely need to stay focused and on track. Here's the bucket list for August 2016:

Some are new, some are the same. Let's see how this goes!

Until next time,
